 Beautifully Broken: 

Here I lay so beautifully broken 

And beautifully broken I am through the day 

But even beautifully broken you have come here to stay 

And beautifully broken you always show me the way 

My heart, my mind, my soul is yours 

And beautifully broken you come to restore 

You pick up the pieces, so gentle and warm 

Even beautifully broken, you mend what is torn 

With your mercy and grace, forgiveness, and faith 

You sow me together, you don't  hesitate 

Your masterpiece and your design 

Beautifully broken wasn't in your mind 

You mold and form until the work is done 

Now I am no longer broken, but perfect like your son 

A daughter of the Most High King I have become 

Your servant, your warrior, I will never be out done 

Beautiful, bold, brave and so full of love 

Because broken, no matter how beautiful 

Was never something that came from above.

     One of my favorite verses in the bible is Jeremiah 29:11. It states:  "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)      When I was younger, I took it in a more literal translation, thinking that God would let me know everything about myself and what my purpose was by the time I graduated high school. The Struggle Is Real:

     I know everyone has heard the statement "the struggle is real" and let me tell you there has never been a more truer statement. Between being a wife, a mom, a new blogger, and trying to maintain my renewed status of stay at home mom on top of it, the struggle has definitely been real.     A few weeks ago my husband and I had a major life event happen, not to get into details, because I am not ready to share that part of my testimony yet, but in the end we decided that we needed a huge change in our lives.      See, I was working a full time job, over 40 hours a week, and my husband was doing almost double that. We were trying to get through paying bills, getting out of debt, and so on and so forth, but our home life and our family were taking a huge hit.      In the end, I resigned from my job, and Daniel took a pay cut, at a new job, with less hours, so that we could focus back on putting God first.
